Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: March 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing the ALJEM Technologies website, client portal, or purchasing any of our digital services (including but not limited to Web Hosting, Domain Registration, Corporate Emails, and Custom Software Development), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.
2. Payment Processing & Third Parties
ALJEM Technologies relies on secure, PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateways (such as Flutterwave) to process financial transactions securely. ALJEM does not directly collect, process, or store your credit card or mobile money PIN details. By making a payment, you agree to the terms of service of our respective payment processing partners.
3. Strict Refund Policy
Due to the irreversible nature of digital infrastructure allocation (such as domain name registration fees paid to global registrars and immediate server provisioning), ALJEM operates on a strict NO-REFUND policy.
Exceptions to this policy will strictly only be evaluated if all of the following conditions are met:
- The client provides valid, verifiable proof of payment (Transaction ID).
- ALJEM Technologies has entirely failed to provision or deliver the service paid for within the agreed-upon timeframe.
- The failure is entirely on the side of ALJEM Technologies, and not due to the client's failure to provide required information (e.g., Nameservers, content, or credentials).
4. Client Responsibilities
For custom software and web development projects, the timely delivery of the project heavily relies on the client. Clients are required to provide necessary assets (logos, text, feedback) promptly via the Client Portal. Delays caused by the client will subsequently pause the project timeline. Domain renewals must be paid on or before the expiration date; ALJEM is not liable for domains lost to the public market due to late renewal payments.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
Clients utilizing our Web Hosting or Server infrastructure must not use the services for illegal, malicious, or highly disruptive activities, including but not limited to spamming, phishing, hosting pirated content, or distributing malware. Violation of this policy will result in immediate termination of the service without a refund.
6. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes relating to these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.
